Application of EPDM membrane for waterproofing of fire-fighting and other reservoirs, household and toxic waste sites, undersurface facilities, foundations etc.

Fixation of the rubber membranes to the base (for example when providing waterproofing for concrete reservoirs, foundations etc.) can be done mechanically or with the use of special adhesives. In this case the EPDM installation methods match the methods of installation of fully adhered and mechanically fixed roofing systems.

In this case the EPDM installation methods match the methods of installation of fully adhered and mechanically fixed roofing systems.

Application of EPDM membranes without fixation to the base (for example when providing waterproofing for household and toxic waste sites, open water collecting ponds etc.) requires membrane ballasting to protect it against damages and winds like in case of EPDM ballast or inversion roofing systems.

Depending on the base structure and ballasting material it can necessary to use underlying and protecting layers from natural (sand) or synthetic (geotextile) materials.
